Comment | 'Whereas since the date of the within Licence the within named Rectory of Saint Leonard is become void by the death of the Reverend Gayer Patch the late Rector thereof and the Rectory and the Revenues and profits thereof are put under Sequestration. Now we William by divine permission Lord Bishop of Exeter do hereby appoint you the within named Thomas Henry William Desbrisay to continue in the Service of the said Church of Saint Leonard during the time the said Living shall continue vacant And we do assign unto you the within named Thomas Henry William Desbrisay at and after the rate of Eighty pounds per Annum for the performance of the Spiritual Duties of the said Rectory from the death of the said Gayer Patch during so long time as the Rectory shall be vacant, and you the said Thomas Henry William Deesbusay shall perform the Duties thereof to be paid you by and out of the proceeds Revenues or Income accruing or to arise from the said Rectory..' |
