Barker swore to pay annual pension to Master Richard Parkehurst, formerly rector. [The latter had been instituted by Abp. Warham 27 May 1524 (Warham's register, f.382)].

Preceded by record of proceedings before Master Geoffrey Glynne (Glyn) , surrogate of Master Griffin Leyson, DL, official principal and vicar general, who was 'in remotis'. Barker exhibited letters of advowson and presentation and sought institution. The Archbishop's register showed that a pension had been assigned from the rectory to M. Richard Parkehurst for life, Barker had to swear to pay the said pension. (f.417v).
