Comment | This is from the first of two leters testimonial for John Bowdon. It is undated, but its postcript stating that he was granted a licence is dated 16/07/1634.
This testimonial lists Bowdon as curate of Ryme Intrinseca and a postscript dated 16/07/1634 states that he was granted a licence to preach and to serve as a curate within the peculiar of the dean of Sarum. (This was left open with no location specified).
[The second tesiminial lists him as curate of Wilton and bears no reason for the testimonial, and no post-script or date. it is impossible therefore, to state which of the letters was written first or whether the second application was succcessful.] |
