Nov. 1681: Mr Bayly declares that he has heard from Mr Elkins of Peterborough who is very willing to accept the proposal made to him by Mr Wallwine to accept of a minor canon's place and the rectory of Wouldham. Proposed that, if My Bayly will go to the bishop of Rochester and procure collation for Wouldham, the chapter intend Bayly should have Halling.
