Comment	First Ship Money of the Clergy of the County of Chester: disbursement of surplus of £3/-/- by decision of a meeting of all the ministers of Chester on 26 April 1636. 'because This act may be exemplary they thought that some benefices were too highly rated in the kings books, the[y] held it fitt that such benefices sho: be eased, & so they d[elivere]d bak to Mr Moston parson of Chriselton 20s. To Mr Ley vicar of Budworth 20s. entreating them that (because god had blessed them in particular for theyr personal estates) they would bestow it emong the poor ministers, wch. Mr Moston & Mr Ley willingly did & therupon they gave to' the clergy listed from Mr Yates to Mr Hatch. The remaining 20/8 was disbursed between the curates listed from Edward Williams to Mr Holford.
