68. Letter resigning the patronage of Cookham: "Whereas I received from Mr. George Weldon my noble Patron the Gift of the Vicaridge of Cookham, & beinge called away into Ireland by my Father doe Resigne & give and deliver my Presentation Donation and Collation afterthe space of Six months time bearing date hereeof unto Mrs Mary Weldon Widow if I returne not againe & hold the said Vicaridge my selfe as heretofore that then it shall be her proper Right & due to Reenter & put in whom shee please". It does not seem clear whether Hodson was the incumbent as well as patron.
