Comment | Hollington was late because he was sick and infirm and did not come to subscribe untill 6 days after St. Bartholomew's day, so the Bishop refused to accept his subscription. Sir Jeffery Palmer, the King's Attorney General was formally asked for an opinion on whether the Bishop ought allow the subscription. On 19/10/1663 he gave the answer 'Yes' |
