Comment | Marginal note refers to page 46 note concerning a case in which an avoidance of a living is purchased by the father who then presents it to his son. Suggestion is that Henry Harpur esq is the father (non ecclesiastical) of H. Harpur and therefore is not breaking the Act of 12th Queen Ann preventing clergy from buying the next avoidance of any church preferment |
