1541 transferred from Coventry and Lichfield; Separated when Worthenbury was created as a parish, 1690.
|
- First separate institution for Worthenbury is 1683. However, in 1684 a Curate is licensed during the mertpolitical visitation and in 1686 the same curate is ministering to Worthenbury. A bill was presented to the Commons for separation in June 1685, which fell by the wayside. Separation from Bangor by Act of Parliament is only in 1690, Journal of the House of Commons, 9.750; Journal of the House of Lords, 14.463-4. Note that John Shore, instituted in 1683, was also Rector in 1701.
