According to notes entered in the burial register of Bilston, Staffs by the Rev Edward Best, Robert Daubrie, MA, rector of Aldridge and Barr, died of ‘a dropsy’ on 14 Jan 1766. He was described as ‘a gentleman of a very peaceable deportment & of a humane & charitable disposition’.
