Adm. sizar (age 18) at ST JOHN'S, 06 Jul., 1631. S. of William, of Shardlow, Derbyshire . B. there. School, Repton [ Derbyshire ]. Matric. 1631; B.A. 1634/5; M.A. 1638. Ord. deacon (Peterb.) 18 Dec., 1636; priest, 10 Mar., 1638/9. Perhaps intruding R. of Bulwick, Northamptonshire , in 1646. Probably R. of Eastwell, Leicestershire , 1655-60, and again, 1674-85; one of the well-affected ministers of the gospel in the county of Leicester [ Leicestershire ], who, in 1659, presented an 'humble representation' unto the Rump Parliament. Chose his own burial Place in the Chancel of Eastwell Church [ Leicestershire ] in 1682 (said then to be aged 72). Died 04 Jan., 1685; buried at Eastwell [ Leicestershire ].
