' Matric. 1750; Scholar, 1750-5; B.A. 1754; M.A. 1769. Fellow, 1755-9. Ord. deacon (Ely) Mar. 7; priest, Dec. 21, 1756. Went to Charleston, New England, 1757. R. of St Philip's Church, 1759. Returned to England, 1768-70. Took an active part on the Colonial side and was chaplain to their forces. Banished to Philadelphia, after the capture of Charleston, 1780. D.D. (Pennsylvania) 1789.
