He eventually (c.1820) became Rector of the Parish of Clarendon, Jamaica, where he died in about 1840 - his will was probated in London in 1842. He is in the Clarendon Jamaica Parish Register as having been born in 1792 there and baptised in 1793. While Rector of Clarendon he worked 286 acres at his residence, Big House, with 19 slaves - (see Higman, BW, Jamaica Surveyed p 283, who includes a plan of his land.
