Provided a steam corn-mill for the benefit of the poor and started an Industrious Aid Society. Preb. of Hereford, 1843-68. Engaged with a Jesuit in the famous Hereford Discussion, 1847. Lived latterly at Aylestone Hill, Hereford. Author, St Paul's Three Chapters on Holiness; Commentary on St Paul's Epistle to the Galatians. Died, unmarried, May 12, 1890. Brother of Henry (1814). (J.
