FOSTER: of co. Worcs., pleb. CHRIST CHURCH, matric. 19 May 1615, aged 17; BA 26 June 1617, MA 1 June 1620, BD 20 June 1628. Vicar of St Mary Magdalen, Oxford, 1629, and of Frodsham, Ches., 1632, as Heywood.
G. Ormerod,The history of the county Palatine and city of Chester, 3 vols. in 6 parts (1882), 2.i, 58, cites Frodsham parish register that Haywood was at Frodsham in or by 1632. The 1624 date seems very unlikely, and another case where the 1624 subsidy was later updated.
See Walker Revised, 91.
