Michs. 1818; B.A. 1822; M.A. 1826. Ord. deacon, 1824; priest, 1825. Succeeded his father as P.C. of Cheetham, Lancs., Oct. 15, 1830, perhaps to 1839. C. of Uplyme, Devon, 1841; R. there, 1842-72-. Married, May 2, 1822, Ann, only surviving child and heiress of Robert Peel, of Wallington Hall, Norfolk. Their son Edmund later assumed the surname and arms of his grandfather Robert Peel, of Bryn-y-Pys. Of Wicksted Hall, Cheshire. Died Dec. 1, 1872. Half-brother of the next. (Burke, L.G.)
