Foster: of Berkshire, gent., CHRIST CHURCH matric. 5 July 1611 aged 15; BA 4 July 1614; MA 4 July 1617; canon 1638-48; created DD 1 Nov. 1642; "an able mathematician", perhaps an original fellow of Pembroke College 1624, and possibly sequestered from the rectory of Tormarton, Gloucs. 1646 because "he hath deserted the cure for the space of 3 years past and resided in ye garrison of Oxon".
See Gutch, i. 617; Burrows 489; Foster Ind. Eccl. & Add MS 15,670 pp. 29-30.
(He does seem to have been described as rector of Tormarton at his death in 1660; unclear canon of what/where - not Gloucester)
