Schools, Bodmin [and Penzance Grammar; also studied medicine in Edinburgh]. ' Matric. Lent, 1823. Migrated to Peterhouse, Oct. 21, 1823; B.A. 1827; M.A. 1830. Adm. ad eundem at Oxford, 1847. Ord. deacon (Bath and Wells) 1826; priest, 1828; C. of Morvah, Cornwall, 1828-42. His eyesight failing he retired to Penzance, where the remainder of his life was spent. A keen antiquary. Had a herbarium. Author of articles in the G. Mag. and Notes and Queries. Contributed to J. E. Smith's Botany. Died, unmarried, Apr. 24, 1862, at Penzance; buried in St Mary's churchyard. M.I. (Al.
