FOSTER: as QUA(R)TERMAN or WATERMAN, fellow of NEW COLL. 1547-59, from Chalgrove, Oxon, M.A. 27 Feb. 1554-5, rector of Alton Barnes, Wilts. 1556. See Foster's Ind. Eccles. & Lee's 'Thame' 303.
He seems to have been instituted to Alton Barnes before he was ordained but the Catholic restoration could account for that.
