FOSTER:
VCH Lancs., 5, 35: Parliamentarian and Presbyterian, who signed the Harmonious Consent in 1648. In 1647 he was accused of performing 'clandestine marriages'. He was described as 'an able and godly minister' in 1650 in Commonwealth Church Survey. Remained minister at Flixton until his death. He was bur. 8 May 1660.
