The notes on these records presumably refer to the Ordination of Aliens Act of 1784. If so Soloman, a Polish Jewish convert to Christianity, was presumably being ordained for ministry either in the USA or, more likely, Jerusalem and could not exercise ministry in the Church of England. He was the first translator of the New Testament into Yiddish, published by the London Jews Society in 1821. Believed to be born about 1790
