(Eccleswall was castle of Talbots in parish of Linton, Herefs., containing a free chapel, to which last presentation made by Earl of Salop in March 1541 and order given for his induction to the dean and apparitor of Ross deanery. This appointment was for William Hyggens, BA (no trace of degree found in Venn or Foster).
