Foster: son of Thomas of Bridgnorth, Salop, gent., CHRIST CHURCH, matric. 15 Nov. 1768 aged 18; BA 1772; MA 1775; see G. Mag. 1825, i, 91
The reference to G. Mag of 1825 is an error - this records the death of another of this name, rector of Rathdrum and curate of St Catherine, Dublin in 1825 and is obviously not the man who was rector of Munslow. However, a reference is found in the G. Mag. of 1833, (Jan. 1833, Vol. 103, part I) in lengthy correspondence on the history and architecture of Munslow church and states that there is a tablet against the north wall of the chancel to Richard Powell, MA, rector of Munslow for 30 years, who died 6 Feb. 1806 aged 55 (and to his little son Thomas, who died at 1 year and 8 months, and this rector's widow, Elizabeth.)
