C. of Swilland, Suffolk, 1793-8. ‘One of the few Fellows of much character in the first decade of the 19th century.’ Gunning tells how he was ‘the only one who ventured to call upon the Master, Dr Browne, for an account of his expenditure.’ R. of Brisley and Gateley, Norfolk, 1814-38.
