Afterwards, in the astonishingly short space of 3 years, completed the catalogue of the MSS. at the University Library. Refused the Mastership of his College in 1778, being then occupied with improving his living of Snailwell and with farming. Chaplain to the Earl of Buckinghamshire. R. of Leverington, Cambs., 1796-1808. Chairman of the County Sessions for many years. Married, 1774, Susan, dau. of the Rev. John Salmon, R. of Shelton, Norfolk. Edited Tanner's Notitia Monastica.
