C. of Leek. ‘In that place he is said to have fallen into some levities inconsistent with his profession which he afterwards lamented with much sorrow.’ C. of Battle, Sussex, where he came under the influence of the Methodists. C. of Ewhurst, near Rye. Finally joined the Methodists in 1762. Minister of the Meeting House in Artillery Lane, Spitalfields, until his death. Author, Sermons. Died Feb. 11, 1792. (St John's Coll.
