At time of ordination as deacon, May 1714,
Turner was a master at Cirencester Public School but ordained on becoming curate of Rendcomb, diocese of Gloucester.
Gloucestershire archives (Order Book Q/SO/4/3 n.d.) list him as swearing oath of Allegiance etc. at Epiphany Sessions, Gloucester 10 Jan. 1715 where described as R of Langridge, Somerset, now of Cirencester. (Also D1799/C168 1714-15 has correspondence from him 5 Mar. 1714/15 from Cirencester School about his presentation to Langridge.
