A common name, but the degree (B.LL) strongly puts the 1693 and 1712 evidence together (an assumption also made by Venn).
Subscription (EDR A/5/6) 20/8/1712 is subscription upon licensing as curate of St Edward, Cambridge, and notes he was born in Yorkshire in 1662.
