Master of St John's Hospital, Lichfield, 1883-6. Married Harriet, dau. of James White Higgins, of Hormead Bury, Herts., July 31, 1834. A close friend of Edward FitzGerald; intimate with Thackeray, Tennyson and other distinguished contemporaries. His College Diary and Scrap Book are in Trinity College Library.
