Fielding, p. 342 states that Thomas Brand of West Malling and Thomas Brand of Wateringbury are two different clergymen. They are probably one and the same: Brand has a dispensation recorded in 1605 (presumably for a plurality) and the two livings are very close to each other.
Fielding adds that Thomas Brand was buried at Wateringbury, 25/1/1620 ns.
