s Humphrey of St Andrews Holborn, London, gent; ST JOHN'S m 30/6/1720 aged 18; BCL 22/3/1727-8, DCL 1738
St John's College list of fellows states he resigned as fellow in 1742 which would just follow his ordination as deacon and priest; that he was rector of Crick ten years before ordination could be correct as Crick was in the patronage of St John's college; this explanation seems to fit better than to suppose a record error of institution at Crick in 1741 - 1731 fits better with the other Crick records.
