May well be the following - VENN: Matric. sizar from CLARE, Easter, 1576. B. in Cambridge, 1561. B.A. 1579-80; M.A. 1583. Ord. deacon (London) July 21, 1585, age 25; priest, 1586. Held curacies in London diocese. Chaplain to the Earl of Lincoln. R. of Mavis-Enderby, Lincs., 1606-22. (In the Bishop's register he is described as 'of Corpus'; but there is no other graduate of these names.) According to Cooper, III. 58, and D.N.B., he practised physic; and was indicted in 1593, with H. Barrow, for an attack on the Church. Logical and medical writer.
