George,) and born at Grinsley, co Worcester, 18 Nov 1640, educated both at St Paul's school and at Westminster; chaplain to Dr Morley, bishop of Winchester, and to Dr Sheldon, archbishop of Canterbury, rector of St Mary, Lambeth, 1675, precentor of Exeter 1677, rector of Havant and of East Woodhay, Hants, 1672, chaplain to King William and Queen Mary, dean of Canterbury 1691, bishop of St Asaph 1703, and of Bath and Wells 1704, until his death 9 Sept 1727.
