John Harington, D.D., R. of Thruxton, Hants.]. School, Winchester. ' Matric. Michs. 1823; B.A. 1828. Previously an officer in the 7th Hussars. Ord. deacon (Norwich) Oct. 17, 1824. R. of West Monkton, Somerset, 1825-47. Married, 1815, Thomasine, dau. of Alexander Macrae, of Jamaica and Edinburgh, and had issue. Resided latterly at Bath. Died May 11, 1856, aged 64, at Doe Castle, Co. Donegal, ‘from injuries received 2 days before in falling on a rock when fishing.’ (Clergy List; Burke, L.G.; G. Mag., 1856, 660.)
