Fellow, 1776-97. Ord. priest (Lincoln, Litt. dim. from Ely) Sept. 4, 1773. Chaplain to the Bengal Ecclesiastical Establishment. Arrived there, 1780; Garrison Chaplain, 1782; Senior Presidency Chaplain, 1788; resigned, Mar. 1797. Sailed for Europe, and was lost in a shipwreck off the French coast, Nov. 23, 1797.
