London. Born 24-8-1759 son of Gilbert Blair, barber and wigmaker, Edinburgh. Educated at Edinburgh and Cambridge Universities. Rector of Barton St Andrew, Norfolk 1792-1838 (died). He was in Venice in May 1789 [Ingamell “A Dictionary of British & Irish Travellers in Italy 1701-1800, Paul Mellon Centre (1997)” and Naples in 1790.
