Assumed the surname of Burroughs only, by Royal Licence, July 11, 1804, in compliance with the will of Dame Sarah Salusbury, widow of Sir Thomas Salusbury (of Trinity Hall), Judge of the High Court of Admiralty. Ord. deacon (Gloucester) July 30, 1786; priest (Lincoln) Dec. 21, 1787. V. of Offley, Herts., 1787-1835. R. of Graveley with Chesfield, 1803-5, and again, 1814-19. Married (1) Jane, dau. of William Offley, of Harper Street and Gt Ormond Street, London, and of Offley, Herts., July 29, 1790. Died Aug. 10, 1837, at Welbury, near Hitchin. M.I. at Offley.
