Adm. sizar (age 18) at ST JOHN'S, Apr. 13, 1730. S. of Thomas (1698), clerk, of Yorkshire. School, Trentham, Staffs. ' Matric. 1730; B.A. 1733-4; M.A. 1738. V. of Bramham, Yorks., 1743. Probably R. of Stone, Staffs., 1744. Perhaps chaplain in the Navy, 1744-5. Died at Pershore, Worcs., Dec. 13, 1790, aged 79. Will,P.C.C. But according to E. L. Barnwell this was Andrew (a cousin), s. of Charles, Lord Mayor of York. The similarity of names and age makes identification difficult. (Duc. Leod., 72; E. L. Barnwell, Perrot Notes, 107.)
