Ord. deacon (Bristol) at Trinity College Chapel, Cambridge, Apr. 6, 1811; priest (London) Jan. 8, 1815; C. of Milcom and Horsey, Dorset, 1811-12. The remainder of his life was spent in changing from one home to another in search of health, as his existing diaries show. He appears to have officiated at West Molesey, Surrey, for a short time, in 1833. Ultimately he settled in Devonshire, first at Morebath and then at Tiverton. Married, 1813, Susanna (d. 1826), dau. of Christopher Aplin, of West Adderbury, Oxon, and had issue, four sons and five daughters; he married secondly Anne Oram (née Bull), a widow, who died in 1866 without any issue by him.
