According to an LDS film (#993599) of Bix parish registers, Chessell died in 1641. He had been rector there for about 65 years. In his will he requested that he be buried in the chancel of Bix church, TNA PROB 11/187, date: 19 Nov 1641. Information supplied by John Moore 14/4/2014
