Assistant-Chaplain at the Lock Hospital, where he soon became known as an eloquent preacher of the Calvinistic School. Lord Mayor's Chaplain, 1789. V. of Godstone, Surrey, 1794-1820. J.P. for Co. of Surrey. Editor of The Theological Miscellany, 1784-9. Author of several religious works. Published his Miscellaneous Works (3 vols.), 1807-10.
