Chaplain to the British community at Gothenburg, Sweden, 1821-36. Sometime C. of Richmond, Surrey. V. of Conway, N. Wales, 1838-70. Married, 1823, Fanny, eldest dau. of John Nonnen (a British subject), of Liseberg, Gothenburg. Known as the ‘King of Conway,’ being 6 ft. 4 in. in height. Died at Conway in 1870. Father of Henry A. (1849). (Miss Gerda Morgan; Al. Oxon. erroneously identifies the vicar of Conway with an Oxonian namesake.)
