CG MI: To the Glory of God & in Memory of Reverend Mark Newby M.A. of Trinity Coll. Cambridge, 28 years. Rector of this Parish. He was the eldest Son of the Reverend Geo. Newby MA of Witton-le-Wear. He died 28 December 1860, & was interred in the family burying place at Barmingham Co. York.
