IN VENN
Adm. at TRINITY, Nov. 30, 1788; a ‘Ten-year man.’ Ord. deacon (Peterb.) Dec. 21, 1787; priest (Bristol) Mar. 24, 1790; C. of Westley Waterless, Cambs., 1791. This must be ‘the Rev. William Garnett’ who performed marriages in the Barbados, 1817-18 and died May 13, 1844, at St Heliers, Jersey, aged 85. (G. Mag., 1844, II. 103, which calls him ‘M.A. of Queens' College,’ apparently confusing him with the next entry: the recorded ages, however, show this identification to be impossible; Northants. Clergy; Caribbeana, II. 280, 283.)
