Adm. sizar at CORPUS CHRISTI, Apr. 24, 1755. Of Ely. [S. of ‘the stage-waggoner’ of Ely.] Migrated as pens. to Queens', Oct. 21, 1756. ' Matric. Michs. 1755; B.A. 1759; M.A. 1762. Ord. priest (Norwich) July 18, 1762; C. of Wortham Jervis, Suffolk. V. of Honington, 1773-8. R. and Sequestrator of St Peter's and St Mary's, and P.C. of St Cuthbert's, Thetford. Master of the Free Schools at Thetford, and at Botesdale, Suffolk; resigned, 1774. V. of Hinckley and R. of Stoke-Golding with Dadlington, Leics., 1778. Kept a boarding school there also for a time. Married a sister of Dr Burnaby, Archdeacon of Leicester, and had issue. Author, An Assize Sermon (preached at Leicester, Aug. 12, 1778) and other Sermons. Died Jan. 12, 1804, at Hinckley, aged 66.
