VENN identifies possibly as:
Scholar of TRINITY COLLEGE, 1571; B.A. 1571/2; M.A. 1575. Perhaps Rector of South Fambridge, Essex, 1601-9. Died Mar. 1609/10.
This is evidently based on the degree. There are two Thomas Newmans from Queens', of whom the later is probably more likely: however, neither have a degree recorded. So probably
VENN: Admitted sizar at QUEENS' College, Easter, 1588. Of Essex.
but possibly:
VENN: Matriculated sizar from QUEENS' COLLEGE, Lent, 1579-80. Of Suffolk.
