Succeeded his father as R. of Finningley, Notts., 1824-35. (According to Al. Oxon. the father died ‘in 1823 or 1824, when his s. succeeded to the living in 1826’ (sic). Died Nov. 14, 1835, at Wood's hotel, Furnival's Inn, London, aged 70, ‘after being brutally knocked down while standing in a public gateway in Tyler Street.’ Brother of Edmund (1782).
