Matric. from Wadham College, Oxford, May 7, 1746; B.A. 1749-50. Studied music when an undergraduate. R. of St Andrew-by-the-Wardrobe and St Anne's, Blackfriars, London, 1759-64. Composer of several Chants and Anthems; The Cure of Saul (six hymns). Contributed to Divine Harmony (a collection of psalms and hymn tunes in score), in collaboration with Thomas Sharp.
