Venn: B.D. 1535-6. Franciscan friar. One of these names, 'B.D.,' was V. of Walthamstow, Essex, 1537; of South Weald, 1543; R. of Bradwell-on-Sea, 1554; R. of High Ongar, 1554; Preb. of Westminster, 1554; R. of Harlington, Middlesex, 1558; deprived, 1559; V. of Twickenham, 1562; of Isleworth, 1562-6. According to Hennessy he died 1566. Possibly the man who was nominated Bishop of St Asaph, just before the death of Queen Mary, 1558. Deprived of all his preferments.
