At Caen, Normandy, in 1819. Consecrated to a Continental Bishopric of the Episcopal Church of Scotland, at Stirling, 1824. Chaplain in Paris, 1825-46; erected a church in the Rue d'Aguessau, 1834. Officiated at Thackeray's marriage in Paris, 1836. One of the founders of the Christian Remembrancer, 1841. Married the daughter of Henry Harmood, Commissioner of the Navy. Author, Sermons, etc. Died Aug. 24, 1846, at Lausanne. Father of the above. (Al. Oxon.; D.N.B., which calls him Michael H. T.)
